Plenary Session 2: Resilient and Sovereign Space and Geospatial Infrastructure through Collaborative Partnerships

Session Highlight

As India accelerates toward Viksit Bharat 2047, the synergy between space and geospatial infrastructure is emerging as the bedrock of digital governance, national resilience, and economic growth. Sovereign space and geospatial infrastructure are central to national security, data independence, and digital governance. As India is surrounded by adverse neighbourhood and caught up in middle of global power politics, and has the responsibility to provide good governance, security, and well-being to almost 1.5 billion people, its quest for strengthening sovereign infrastructure and self-reliance is not only critical from security point of view but also in terms of productivity, efficiency, and scalability, leading towards sustainable growth.

This Plenary Session would facilitate discussions on convergence of space, geospatial, and digital systems to enhance its combined value impact for national mapping, digital twins, and spatially enabled solutions, powering indigenous innovation, safeguard strategic autonomy, resilient infrastructure, good governance, and business enterprises. The session will highlight the collaborative roles of policies, scientific leadership, and commercial companies in shaping a resilient and future-ready space and geospatial ecosystem for India and the world.

Plenary Session 3: Sensors to Services: Advancing Turnkey Solutions through Collaborative Business Models

Session Highlight

The rapid innovation in the field of sensors technologies across space, aerial, drone, and terrestrial platforms is revolutionising the typology and quality of data collections, offering range of thematic information at different scales, resolutions for a wide range of applications. Spatial Computing that refers to combined value of Augmented Realities, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Internet of Things, has empowered the processing and management of information collected from host of sensors in almost near realtime. Platform technologies further augments these capabilities and integrates the same with industry domain workflows to deliver high quality solutions and services. Entire spectrum of value chain of Sensors to Services requires several players to collaborate and therefore develop collaborative business model not only to make it easy to use but also create an interdependent business model that will infuse commercial incentives to build robust, resilient, and assured services to critical enterprise geospatial applications.

This session brings together global leaders shaping this transformation from satellite analytics and AI-powered infrastructure to digital mapping and enterprise application, to explore how collaborative business models are redefining innovation, scalability, and value delivery. Through global case studies and cross-sector insights, the discussion will highlight how partnerships spanning satellites, sensors, AI, and mapping are converging into turnkey, service-oriented ecosystems. It will underscore the growing role of international collaboration in building intelligent, resilient systems that power sustainable growth and digital transformation.
