AGRICULTURE SUMMIT

Theme: Farmers First: Ensuring Farmer-Centric Digital Transformation

3-4 December 2025 | Hall No - MR 10

Overview

GeoSmart India 2025 will host a two-day dedicated Agriculture Summit, spotlighting how space and geospatial technologies are directly improving the lives and livelihoods of India’s farmers. The Summit will bring together policymakers, scientists, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), grassroots innovators, and industry leaders to explore farmer-first innovations that are transforming agricultural practices, ensuring food security, and building climate resilience across India’s diverse agrarian landscapes.

At the core of this transformation is a decisive shift toward farmer empowerment through geospatial intelligence, reflecting this year’s theme: “Putting Farmers First: Geospatial Technologies for Empowered Agriculture.” This aligns with the Farmer First Initiative, which reimagines farmers not merely as beneficiaries of agricultural schemes but as central participants in shaping tech-enabled solutions. Flagship programs like the Digital Agriculture Mission, PM-KISAN, PM Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), and PM Matsya Sampada Yojana are increasingly embedding spatial and digital tools into their frameworks—enabling satellite-based crop monitoring, GPS-linked insurance, AI-driven advisory systems, and precision decision support platforms like Krishi DSS, mKisan, and Farmer Portal.

Underpinned by enabling frameworks such as the Geospatial Data Policy, One Nation, One Map, SVAMITVA, and the Geoid Model of India, this transformation is turning India’s agricultural ecosystem into an integrated, data-rich environment. By delivering real-time, location-specific insights on irrigation, soil health, pest control, and market access, these technologies are enhancing productivity, resilience, and informed decision-making at the grassroots. Anchored in the “Putting Farmers First” ethos, this year’s Summit will highlight scalable and inclusive geospatial applications—celebrating stories of impact, fostering state-industry convergence, and reinforcing India’s leadership in sustainable, intelligent agriculture.
