Water Management Summit

Theme: Digital Pathways for Water Sustainability: Rejuvenation, Resilience, and Smart Utilities

3-4 December 2025 | Hall No - MR 15

Overview

India, home to 18% of the world’s population but only 4% of its freshwater, faces mounting water stress amid climate variability, rapid urbanization, and fragmented infrastructure. Addressing challenges like depleting aquifers, erratic rainfall, and aging utilities requires a paradigm shift in how water is managed, monitored, and valued. This program explores how digital technologies, geospatial intelligence, and integrated data platforms—such as the National Hydrology Project and NWIC—are driving smarter watershed planning, groundwater governance, and community-led conservation. It also highlights innovations in urban water infrastructure, including digital twins, SCADA, and citizen-facing platforms that enhance efficiency and transparency. By advancing water neutrality, circular economy models, and tech convergence across BIM, IoT, and spatial analytics, the program envisions a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready water ecosystem for India.

Aligned to the theme "Digital Pathways for Water Sustainability: Rejuvenation, Resilience, and Smart Utilities," this program positions technology as a catalyst to transform India’s water ecosystem holistically. From satellite-based planning and AI-driven leak detection to cloud-enabled asset management and open data frameworks, it will showcase how digital innovation fosters agility, equity, and accountability in water governance. The program also highlights how cross-sector collaborations and interoperable platforms can drive long-term resilience while scaling localized solutions across diverse regions, paving the way for a sustainable and smart water future.

This program will promote an integrated approach to water governance—where geospatial and space technologies, spatial data, environmental context, and socio-economic priorities converge to break silos and foster holistic solutions. By linking rural rejuvenation with urban resilience, national platforms with local action, and research with practical innovation, it aims to transform India’s water systems from fragmented and reactive to predictive, data-driven, and inclusive. Leveraging satellite-based monitoring, real-time mapping, and location intelligence, the program will enable smarter planning and targeted interventions.
