Defence & Internal Security

Theme: The Future of Defence: Intelligence- Driven and Tech- Powered

03-04 December 2025 | Hall No - MR 6

Overview

In today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape, the battlefield has expanded far beyond conventional domains. Cyberspace, space, and the electromagnetic spectrum have emerged as critical domains of modern warfare, necessitating a paradigm shift in national defence and internal security strategies. The key to this transformation lies the concept of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO)—an integrated approach that enables seamless coordination across land, air, sea, cyber, and space to achieve strategic superiority.

India has achieved significant progress in indigenising defence weapons and equipment’s, as reflected in successful operations such as Operation Sindoor. However, the increasing complexity and asymmetry of emerging threats underscore the urgency for more advanced, interoperable, and real-time operational frameworks. The true metric of national security preparedness today is the ability to harness spatial intelligence, AI-driven analytics, secure communications infrastructure, sovereign GNSS/PNT systems, and robust cyber-physical defence architectures. As geopolitical dynamics shift and unconventional threats escalate, India must prioritise the development of precision-led, technology-enabled command structures; deploy indigenous satellite constellations; and strengthen internal security and cyber defence frameworks to safeguard its strategic interests. Sovereign control over digital infrastructure, data governance, and geospatial assets is no longer optional—it is a strategic imperative.

Against this backdrop, the Two-Day Summit on Defence and Internal Security, under the umbrella of GeoSmart India 2025, aims to bring together national defence leadership, policy makers, technologists, start-ups, and innovators. The conclave will provide a platform to assess India’s readiness for Multi-Domain and NCW Operations and to chart a roadmap that leverages advanced digital technologies to enhance both external defence and internal resilience. This high-level gathering will spotlight the critical role of sovereign digital infrastructure, geospatial intelligence, spatial computing, and AI in shaping a future-ready defence posture. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders and identifying innovation pathways, the summit seeks to ensure that India’s national security framework remains impenetrable, agile, and globally competitive in a volatile and fast-evolving world order.
