National BIM and Digital Twin Strategy (2022)

The Indian construction and infrastructure sector has undergone a significant digital transformation, mainly due to government initiatives and the push to digitalization due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, the National BIM and Digital Twin Strategy, developed under the aegis of the Non-Executive Think Tank on Digital Twin Strategy for Indian Infrastructure, constituted by Geospatial World, with its founding members, Autodesk and Esri India sets out action-oriented plan for the government and decision-makers across the Indian construction diaspora to adopt BIM and Digital Twin and for the formulation of a National BIM and Digital Twin policy for infrastructure projects in India.

The report was launched in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH); Shri Amit Kumar Ghosh, Additional Secretary, MoRTH and Co-Chair, Think Tank; Shri Alok – Member, NHAI; Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development; Shri S.K. Nirmal, Additional Director General, MoRTH; and Mr. Sanjay Kumar, CEO, Geospatial World.
