Digital Twin Strategy for Indian Infrastructure

TERMS OF REFERENCE

  • TYPE OF ENTITY Non-Executive and Volunteer Group of Leaders from government bodies; civil society organizations, technology ecosystem (BIM and Digital Twin), and Users (architects, and construction firms) and academia and research organizations
  • PURPOSE Development of a comprehensive, cohesive, coordinated, and conducive Digital Twin Strategy for Indian Infrastructure, encompassing shared vision and values of public authorities, private sector enterprises, academic institutions and users, laying the foundation for technology-driven infrastructure industry in India.
  • ESTABLISHMENT AND MANAGEMENT Think Tank is being established by Geospatial World in partnership with Autodesk India. Secretariat shall be hosted and managed by Geospatial World.
  • TENURE Tenure of the Think Tank shall be four years covering 2021 to 2025
  • MEMBERSHIP CRITERION Professionals having a credible background and willingness to contribute voluntarily. Think Tank Member diversity of gender balance, mix of youth and experience, regional coverage, as well as industry domains.
  • FUNDING MECHANISM Autodesk and Esri India, have provided the initial seed money for the year 2021-2022 and Geospatial World shall mobilize additional financial resources through sponsorship and partnerships. Financial resources shall be exclusively utilized to undertake research and documentation, as well as secretarial management, serving the purpose and programs covered within scope of Think Tank. Core Management Committee comprising of 3 to 5 members shall be constituted to monitor and supervise financial management.
  • MEETINGS Think Tank shall meet 4 times a year including twice in person. Secretariat may support travel of few members of think tank as need be and approved by Core Committee.
  • ETHICS AND VALUES Think Tank shall work together with a common vision of serving the national goals and shall preserve the integrity and intellectual propriety of its members.
