Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) have announced the renewal of the Strategic Intention and Cooperation Statement, which aims to continue supporting innovation and economic and technological development of the space industry in Brazil through a specialized incentive and mentoring program for startups.

The agreement commitments by both AEB and AWS in February 2022 include initiatives focused on the growth of the Brazilian space industry, national space research and development (R&D) programs, training resources, and startup boosting.

It also includes the AWS Open Data Sponsorship Program, to encourage collaboration between AEB and its partners to create a centralized repository of space data that will allow stakeholders to easily access and analyze space data, using cloud tools and technologies, as well as establishing a policy, strategy, and regulatory support for space development.
