Abu Dhabi hosts Autonomous Racing League in 2024

Abu Dhabi, ASPIRE, has announced the launch of the autonomous racing league, in keeping with the goal of creating a top-tier research and development (R&D) base in Abu Dhabi. The race will begin in Q2 of 2024 with the autonomous vehicle race.

The autonomous car competition is scheduled to take place at Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates’ famous Yas Marina Circuit. The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Car Race will use Dallara-built Super Formula vehicles. The use of this has been made possible by Japan Racing Promotions and will have a prize fund of up to USD 2.25 million (JRP).

The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League will feature a number of autonomous vehicle competitions, including autonomous off-road racing, autonomous drone racing, and others. The Autonomous Automobile Race will be the first of these competitions. As a result, Abu Dubai and the Arab Emirates will become the epicenter of extreme autonomous racing.

Fans can anticipate real-time information from Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) infographics and on-screen displays. Race fans will get to explore a brand-new realm of entertainment while witnessing the adrenaline of head-to-head automated driving racing.

JRP will give the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League access to the Dallara Super Formula car. It allows ASPIRE to use it to push the boundaries and top speeds of autonomous driving.
