Information System on Climate Change project by National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), Mexico, has won the Geospatial World Excellence Award. The award was received by Luis Gerardo Esparza RÃos, Deputy General Director, National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico at Geospatial World Forum 2016. In an exclusive interview with GeoBuiz Luis Gerardo Esparza RÃos shares work of INEGI. The project is a system which shares data of climate change in Mexico. INEGI has a responsibility to generate statistics and geographic information of the country INEGI generates statistics and geographic information of the Mexico . Mexico has 32 states and 2100 municipalities. Municipalities in Mexico have the responsibility to monitor land. INEGI measures all land of Mexico.
