The Eighth Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) just concluded at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This year the session marked a definite level of maturity of the professional community formed around the world. It not just witnessed the engagement and commitment by member states but also attracted focus from observers, industry, and academia.
