Jeff Bezos unveils New Glenn rocket to rival SpaceX

Here comes the rival of SpaceX, ready with its first customer. Blue Origin, the private company of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has announced that its New Glenn reusable rocket is ready. A Eutelsat satellite will ride into space on the New Glenn estimated to take place around 2021.New Glenn is even more powerful than SpaceX‘s Falcon Heavy rocket.However, not as powerful as NASA’s upcoming Space Launch System. Blue Originโ€™s BE-4 rocket engine is developed by United Launch Alliance and Blue Origin in partnership with US Air Force.

BE-4 is expected to end American dependence on the Russian RD-180 engine.Seven BE-4 engines will power the New Glenn’s main booster for liftoff.Each booster could be reused in up to 100 launches.
