ISRO will create history by launching a record 104 satellites on Februaryย 15.

PSLV-C37 rocket will be carrying satellites to orbit. The 320-tonne PSLV-C37 will launch the satellites with a combined weight of 1,500 kg, including the 650 kg Cartosat-2D and two nano-satellites (INS-1A and INS-1B) weighing 15 kg each.

ISRO Chief, Kiran kumar said, โ€œBy launching 104 satellites together, we are trying to maximize our workhorse rocketโ€™s capability and optimally utilise it for maximum return on investment.โ€

No space agency has launched such a large number of satellites in a single flight so far. Russiaโ€™s Dnepr launcher holds the record for lifting 37 satellites to orbit in June 2014.

While ISROโ€™s PSLV launched 20 satellites last year.
