RIEGL has showcased its new product called the BathyCopter, on the first day of INTERGEO conference in Germany. Following on the heels of last year’s RiCopter, RIEGL showcased the small-UAV-based surveying system, which is capable of measuring through the water surface. The BathyCopter includes RIEGL’s bathymetric LiDAR sensor, a GNSS unit with antenna and a digital camera. The Austrian company also introduced the VZ-400i scanner. The product has a new processing architecture that allows it to perform data acquisition, geo-referencing and analysis in real-time. As expected, the system supports peripherals such as cameras and includes a touchscreen for easier operation.
