The culprit of the possible shrinking is thought to be the gigantic earthquake that devastated Nepal in April 2015.ย Mount everest was first measured in 1855 by Survey of India..under the leadership of sir george everest and the peak was later named after him.
They found that Everest rose to 29,028 feet above sea level. In 1956, it was re-measured by India and the height remained the same.
