The second day of GWF2021 had parallel sessions. The sessions on “SDG & Circular Economy” witnessed discussions on a collective approach to meet the SDGs and how geospatial technology is supporting circular economic practices.
The session titled “Future Agenda for the Geospatial & Statistical Communities in SDG” was moderated by Ulla Kronborg Mazzoli, Chief Advisor, Agency for Data Supply and Efficiency, Denmark; Keynote Address was given by Greg Scott, Inter-Regional Advisor, Global Geospatial Information Management, United Nations; and the speakers were Menno-Jan Kraak, Professor, Geovisual Analytics and Cartography, University of Twente, The Netherlands; Britta Ricker, Assistant Professor, Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, The Netherlands; Tim Trainor, President, International Cartographic Association, USA; Javier Carranza, Director, GeoCensos, Argentina; Rolando Ocampo, Director, Statistics Division, Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Chile; and Sandra Mayorga, Technical Director of Geostatistics, National Administrative Department of Statistics – DANE, Colombia.
