It’s his personal dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm which has helped in building the Asian community of remote sensing professionals and has paved the way for setting up remote sensing institutes in several countries in Asia.
Murai’s vision towards nurturing Asian Association of Remote Sensing and Asian Conference on Remote Sensing as community based institutional movement is a milestone hallmark. His leadership and untiring efforts to motivate and encourage remote sensing professionals at grass-root level has brought consistency in overall evolution of remote sensing capacity in all levels including government, civil societies, multilateral agencies and academic institutions in Asia.
