With 457 exhibitors from 31 countries and around 14,000 visitors from 102 countries, INTERGEO 2022 presented the usual broad portfolio of the geospatial industry growth sector.
In addition to terrestrial recording and airborne solutions such as drones, exhibitors also presented automated solutions for recording space. The Expo was organized in Essen, Germany, from 18 to 20 October 2022.
Among the products launched at INTERGEO 2022 by LiDAR companies were two products from RIEGL – VQ-1260 and the VQ-1460, with a linear scan pattern for high point density and ultra-wide area mapping. Geospatial World met Susan Licari, Sales, and Marketing Director, RIEGL USA, and Peter Rieger, Manager – ALS Business Division, RIEGL Austria.
Peter gave an overview of the new products, “the new devices feature an extremely high laser pulse repetition frequency of 2.2 MHz and 4.4 MHz, respectively, and an evenly distributed and correspondingly dense scan pattern, as well as an effective swath width of 60° degrees.”Whereas Street Hive is a new product developed by Cyclomedia that allows users to capture images and LiDAR data themselves and generate data insights.
“The collection system can be mounted on any car, is easy to use, and gives users the freedom to decide when and where to collect data and generate insights. Street Hive will be in the market next year,” said Arnout van Raaij, Product Manager, Cyclomedia.
