National Remote Sensing Center/ Indian Space Research Organizing has generated Global False Color Composite (FCC) mosaic images using from Ocean Color Monitor (OCM) payload boarded on EOS-06, ISRO shared this in a Tweet.
EOS-6 is the third-generation satellite in the Oceansat series, which collects data from Oceansat-2 spacecraft. The payloads of the Oceansat-2 spacecraft includes Ocean Color Monitor (OCM-3), Sea Surface Temperature Monitor (SSTM), Ku-Band Scatterometer (SCAT-3), and ARGOS.
The mosaic with 1 km spatial resolution combines 2939 individual images after processing 300 GB data to show Earth as seen during Feb 1-15, 2023.
OCM senses the Earth in 13 distinct wavelengths to provide information about global vegetation cover on Land and Ocean Biota for global oceans.
