Woolpert acquires Jviation

Woolpert recently announced that it has acquired Jviation Inc., an airport planning, survey, architecture, engineering and construction management firm. This acquisition strengthens Woolpertโ€™s existing aviation service offerings and expands its geographic footprint within the western U.S.

By joining Woolpert, Jviation and its clients attain airport planning, engineering and architecture bench strength. Additionally, innovative geospatial resources and expertise that include aerial and mobile lidar, subsurface utility engineering, unmanned aircraft systems, urban air mobility, and advisory and technology consulting. Jviation also gets access to Woolpertโ€™s global architecture, engineering and geospatial (AEG) markets and services, which include energy, water, roads and bridges, information technology and advanced building design.

The American Surveyor quoted Jviation Principal JD Ingram as saying that the firmโ€™s culture, size, and complementary services and geographies make this the right fit for Jviation. He added that they anticipate a highly collaborative and innovative future, in commission to their clients.

Woolpert Senior vice chairman and Infrastructure Sector Leader Tom Mochty said the addition of Jviation reinforces Woolpertโ€™s specialization in industry excellence and strategic growth.
