Utility group meets in Europe to share GIS expertise

California, USA, 22 March 2007: On May 7, 2007, members of the electric, gas, water, and pipeline industry will gather in Amsterdam, The Netherlands at the ESRI First European Energy and Utility User Group Meeting. Participants will share information about ESRI’s ArcGIS software applications for their utility business operations.

People attending the conference will share their successful, challenging, and technical GIS experiences and learn how to enhance their GIS work. Four concurrent sessions will be offered for topics for electric, water, gas, and pipeline industries.

During the plenary session, ESRI will be sharing information about its ArcGIS software and show applications specifically for utilities. Presentations by members of the GIS user community will include project management, data sharing, mobile applications, and more. ESRI staff will be available throughout the conference to answer user questions. A GIS Solutions EXPO will offer GIS software application vendors and consulting groups the opportunity to demonstrate their products and share valuable information.
