< 1 Minute Read

Virginia, USA, 10 October 2006: Applied Spatial Technology, Inc. announces an updated Freeway release providing complete seamless coverage of Canada.

Freeway is an application that is used to generate drive time polygons and perform origin-destination drive time modeling. Drive time analysis is used to derive accurate demographics around a site and to model drive time and drive distance from one location to another. Freeway has now been updated with a current roadway system, and is available through ASTโ€™s reseller network for Canada and the US.

For end-users, Freeway comes bundled with a fully-integrated MapBasic application that interfaces directly with MapInfo or is available as a stand alone which can generate polygons either in MID/MIF or Atlas BNA formats. For developers, Freeway includes the full API specification, enabling the rapid integration of the system with either mapping or market analysis applications.

โ€œWeโ€™re pleased to announce the release of this updated Canadian coverage and believe this release will provide great value for our clients involved with trade area delineation, demographic analysis, and related drive time studies,โ€ said Don Segal, President of AST. He adds, โ€œThe data update, representing the latest release from Statistics Canada, requires less than 30 mb of storage space, and the application is designed to perform accurate drive time analyses very quickly.โ€
