UNL, a global smart addressing platform and HERE Technologies, a global leader in mapping and location platform services have joined forces to fuel the ongoing fight against COVID-19 and power technology-driven shift to a new normal through location-based technology and services as part of their initiative under the Human Unlimited #tech4good foundation.
Under the Human Unlimited #tech4good foundation initiative, tech partners HERE and UNL will provide the ‘Human Care app and platform’, an end-to-end, #tech4good solution for fast, universal response to current and future pandemics and disasters. Human Care provides an infrastructure for accelerating the information flow and collaboration between people, governments, NGOs and businesses to co-create safer public environments powered by location and data.

Addresses are a critical socio-economic tool. Without a reliable address people and locations remain unserved and, in many cases, restricted from accessing essential services. Human Care gives any location a unique universal address to connect and enable people without a reliable address to access critical emergency services, find and navigate to important hubs like hospitals, pop-up clinics and relief centers.
With lockdown easing up in many countries, government and businesses alike need to find sustainable, seamless and human-led approach to resuming life and work outside the home, while tackling coronavirus risks. Human Care users will be able to self-monitor, communicate their symptoms with local governments to bring transparency to new and developing cases based on geolocation. In addition to the mobile app developed by UNL, Human Care also provides an analytics dashboard. Developed by HERE, the analytics dashboard allows governments, policy makers and business owners to analyze crowdsourced insights and layer supplementary special datasets to identify high risk areas and community outbreaks and enable fast response.

Within future releases, the Human Care platform will be including a “request relief” functionality and work together with NGOs to bring relief to people affected by COVID-19. Users will be able to self-identify in need, request relief in the form of food, medical supplies and other essentials.
