har*GIS LLC, a provider of mobile and wireless applications for utilities and local governments, has announced that its TruckMap* software suite has been installed by United Power, Inc. a Touchstone Energy partner.
Under the agreement, har*GIS delivered field-based access to United Power’s customer information and electrical facilities databases – including maps and records maintained within the ESRI ArcGIS product. The TruckMap interface supports rapid retrieval and updates to ensure that workers have updated information regarding the status of facilities and customers.
The initial TruckMap* deployment calls for implementation on Microsoft Windows-based laptops and office-based computers. Both office and field personnel will have current operating information regardless of their location.
