The United Kingdom’s National Timing Centre (NTC) is going to provide innovative opportunities for UK companies through funding projects with a total budget of $9.2 million.

To achieve this, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), is working with Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, to invest up to $2.75 million in feasibility studies for innovation in the dissemination and application of resilient time, frequency and synchronisation.

This is the first of two competitions with a total budget of $9.2 million. This first round of funding is for feasibility studies from 4-6 months with total project costs between $68689 and $34446. The following round will offer the opportunity for demonstration projects.

This investment is being delivered by Innovate UK and is funded by the Strategic Priorities Fund (SPF) as part of our National Timing Centre programme.

This opportunity is for business-led, single or collaborative projects and is open to all UK based organisations.

Projects involving cross-sector technologies, such as those contributing to telecommunication technologies or timing over digital networks, are of particular interest. As are projects that include one or more industry sectors.

The competition is open for the UK entities and applications will be accepted from April 19 till June 9, the accepted participants will be notified on July 30.
