< 1 Minute Read

US: Trimble has recently acquired a Norwegian BIM firm called Vianova Systems. Vionova is known for its applications like Novapoint and Quadri, which are used for design and asset management of road, rail, sea, and air infrastructure. This takeover would help Trimble to expand its civil engineering and infrastructure solutions. "Spatial Dimension's strong position and proven expertise implementing land management solutions further expands Trimble's reach into the land administration market. The acquisition of Spatial Dimension strengthens Trimble's portfolio for governments while expanding our customer base through land management solutions for industry and commercial-based applications,” said Matt Delano, Business Area Director for Trimble's Land Administration solutions.

The company has also taken over Canada-based land management solution provider, Spatial Dimension. Spatial Dimension’s FlexiCadastre software has been deployed across hundreds of land management projects for clients like the World Bank and United States Agency for International Development. Trimble did not disclose the financial terms for any of the deals.
