US: TomTom has announced that the company’s connected navigation system has been chosen by Volvo trucks for their new infotainment platform. The Volvo trucks will be launched in Europe in 2017, with other regions to follow at a later time.
With this agreement between TomTom and Volvo Trucks, TomTom provides its innovative and modular navigation software, NavKit, in a customised version for truckers; automotive grade digital maps; and live TomTom Traffic service. It marks the first time that TomTom and Volvo Trucks are working together.
