The information is typically available on-line 24 / 7 / 365. The data is updated on the web site at a rate comparable to the monthly communication fee

Passive System
GPS data is received from GPS satellites and then stored on a memory device (vehicle unit or data key). The data is downloaded from the memory device when the vehicle returns to the office. The data is then uploaded into a computer (PC) where the manufacturer’s software resides.
