The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a state agency maintaining more than 27,000 miles of state roads, has distributed the Magellan GPS units to law enforcement officers to ensure the accuracy of crash site locations data in order to enhance overall safety.
Accurate crash location data is essential to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in planning and implementing roadway improvements to enhance safety and service on the state maintained road system.
