Canada: Tecterra announced the appointment of Dr. Mohamed Abousalem, P.Eng, as the company’s first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective immediately. Dr. Abousalem has been appointed to lead the company through the launch of its activities in providing integrated resource management technology solutions to energy, forestry, agriculture, environment and land management and development applications.
As a senior executive, Mohamed brings with him over 18 years of significant experience in the geomatics industry including product and business management as well as marketing and corporate development. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Corporate Development, Strategy and Human Resources at Hemisphere GPS.
“Mohamed’s extensive experience in the geomatics sector is of a great value to Tecterra’s mission,” stated Steve Mulherin, Chariman of Tecterra. “His experience working with industry, academe and government is what is required for Tecterra to succeed. We are very pleased to welcome Mohamed to the Tecterra team.”
