< 1 Minute Read

Taiwan: SuperGeo Technologies announced that SuperPad 3, its full function mobile GIS software, now supports graphics layer. SuperPad graphics layer is a type of XML file format that can store texts and every type of graphics. Field surveyors can conveniently add annotations on the map without changing the original contents of the layer, said the company.

For example, there is a dangerous area on Layer โ€˜Aโ€™ which needs to be marked. By Graphics Layer function, users can add various graphics and texts to mark the dangerous area on the graphics layer without modifying the original layer.ย ย  ย

Different from vector layers, Graphics Layer has different usage. Users can add diverse graphics on the same layer, such as point, line, polygon, rectangle, and ellipse. Furthermore, users can add annotations to the graphics to convey the information of the mark. SuperPad also supports users to adjust the appearance of each graphics and the font of the texts to improve the readability of the marks. ย

Meanwhile, the company has found an exclusive reseller in South Africa, Spatial Perspective. Spatial Perspective will distribute SuperGIS software in South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

SuperGeo also indicated that it will invest in more resources in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) market and keep providing better support to the local partners and users.
