STAR-APIC and GEOMENSURA provide a mixed GIS infrastructure solution Lisa

< 1 Minute Read

France, 30 March 2007: In a way to reveal the maximum utilization of GIS softwares in providing infrastructure solutions STAR-APIC and GEOMENSURA have developed a technical bridge called Lisa. With Lisa, MENSURA users have direct client/server access to the reference data layers found in the geographic STAR and ORACLE SPATIAL databases. STAR-Apic is one of the major suppliers of software products for Geographic Information Systems.

As a result, MENSURA users may easily display as background:

  • Cadastre, networks,
  • As-built drawings,
  • 3D Digital Terrain Model (DTM),
  • 3D objects and vector data from GIS,
  • Raster data (ex: orthophotoplans).

Lisa also proposes automated Road Infrastructures data integration to the GIS database.

Assets of Lisa interface (mixed GIS/Road Infrastructures solution) proposed by STARAPIC and GEOMENSURA:

  • Less means required for data transfers between applications,
  • Shorter system administration time,
  • Geographic database uniqueness (no loss, no double),
  • Sharing of complete geographic referential (cadastre, orthophotoplans) and
  • professional data (water/sewage networks, public lighting, power supply, servitudes)
  • Greater Road Infrastructures designer autonomy.
