New Zealand: Spaceflight’s newest ground station in Invercargill, New Zealand, is now fully operational. The ground station will primarily cater to low-latency communications for small satellites or constellations for earth observation. Satellite owners will be able to download data for remote sensing applications, including weather monitoring, disaster control, surveillance, and oil and gas exploration. Spaceflight CEO Jason Andrews says, “Bringing the ground station online in New Zealand is another step in executing on our vision to add more capacity across more continents to satisfy the tremendous customer demand.”
