Portugal: Students from the School of Technology and Management of Viana Do Castelo have developed a prototype that aims at helping blind in the supermarket through smartphones. The prototype called ‘Guide to support navigation of blind in supermarkets’ automatically generates an optimal path within the business area, taking into account criteria and spatial proximity between the existing products on the shopping list which minimises the distance traveled by the blind.
