Smart GEO Expo 2022 is scheduled to be held from November 2nd (Wed) to November 4th (Fri) at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 Hall 5, Goyang City, Gyeonngi-do, Republic of Korea.
Celebrating its 14th anniversary, Smart GEO Expo 2022 strives to uphold its reputation as Asia’s leading geospatial industry expo, with an emphasis on the latest trends related to technology and convergence in the field of geospatial information.
Most notably, the Offline Exhibition will re-open for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak, bringing back the vibrant atmosphere of the 2019 Expo before the advent of the pandemic. Under the motto “Digital Earth, Better life for all”, Smart GEO Expo 2022 will shed light on how the cutting-edge geospatial technologies such as Digital Twin, drones, UAM, AR, VR, and Big Data can improve our lives and the future of the Earth.
The offline exhibition has expanded not only in size (~200% larger compared to 2019) but also in scope, to encompass the potential and accomplishments of the geospatial industry. The exhibition hall consists of immersive tech demos, a business lounge, networking spaces, and resting areas to provide visitors with both fulfilling experiences and convenience. Among the exhibits are the newest tech demos prepared by innovative businesses and startups prominent in the field that have garnered the spotlight in recent years, including Proptech, location-based ad platform, and 3D model-based safety diagnosis.
A wide range of side events are also available, including Business Programs that connect overseas buyers with domestic companies via improved and streamlined online match-making system, Conferences that cover topics such as geospatial technology, policies, and best practices in convergence, and a series of Global Programs, in which foreign ministers and officials join together to discuss pending issues while fostering concrete networking opportunities and business deals across borders.
SGE 2022 will bring back the face-to-face exchange of geospatial technology halted by the COVID-19, while transforming itself into a more sustainable, eco-friendly event through the active use of QR codes and indoor navigation.
The Event is hosted by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Republic of Korea, and is organized by LX (Korea Land and Geospatial Information Cooperation), LH (Korea Land & Housing Corporation), Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements, SPACEN (Spatial Information Industry Promotion Agency), Spatial Information Quality Management Service, Korean Association of Spatial Information, Surveying & Mapping, and Korea Geospatial Information Industries Cooperative.
