ESRI and Geographic Data Technology (GDT) are sponsoring a seminar October 10, 2002, in New York City that will detail the benefits of using a GIS for post-September 11 risk analysis. GIS technology propels insurance companies’ abilities to new heights that enable them to assess risk factors, such as terrorist attacks, and ensure homeland security.
The free seminar will highlight how GIS has become a valuable tool for the insurance industry and will include software developer applications with insurance industry case studies. Each presentation illustrates the crucial role GIS technology has had in visualizing, analyzing, and distributing risk data, which help increase the effectiveness of homeland security.
