Indianapolis, Indiana, USA– The Schneider Corporation, an authorised Trimble Mapping & GIS Business Partner, is offering a complete mobile GIS package to cities and counties in Iowa to utilise the recently launched statewide real time network (RTN) operated by the Iowa Department of Transportation.
The statewide GPS reference network is designed to improve efficiency for GPS users. When using the appropriate equipment, GPS handhelds have the ability to receive real-time GPS positioning information consistently and directly from the RTN, allowing users to improve accuracies and efficiencies while in the field, without a base station or postprocessing data.
The Mobile GIS RTN package includes a Trimble GPS handheld bundled with ESRI ArcPad and Trimble GPScorrect extension for ESRI ArcPad software, along with two days of onsite GPS consulting/training. In addition, users have the option to purchase additional GPS differential correction process software, the Trimble GPS Analyst extension for ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software.
