Moscow, Russia, 28 May 2007: ScanEx R&D center announced that it has completed the loop of operational radar data after signing agreements for ditsribution of images of TerraSAR-X band radar data, C-band ENVISAT-1 radar data and RADARSAT-1 data.
In March 2007 ScanEx R&D Center signed a reseller agreement with Infoterra for the distribution of TerraSAR-X radar data and its end-products. TerraSAR provide the users with X-band data at spatial resolution of up to 1 meter.
In the same month ScanEx signed a license agreement with Eurimage S.p.A. for the direct reception and commercial distribution of C-band ENVISAT-1 radar data by the ground stations in Moscow and Magadan. In addition to RADARSAT-1, this real-time radar data program supplies images at all weather conditions at resolution from 1 km to 28 meters.
In May ScanEx’s UniScan technology was certified for the reception and processing of ENVISAT-1 data. On May 25, 2007 ScanEx signed an agreement on the distribution of ENVISAT-1 data supplied by Eurimage S.p.A. for the region beyond Moscow and Magadan stations coverage. ScanEx Center also started the commercial project on oil spills monitoring in Caspian Sea using RADARSAT-1 and ENVISAT-1 radar data.
R&D Center ScanEx together with MDA Geospatial Services has a framework agreement that they will sign RADARSAT-2 satellite data distribution contract once it is launched this summer. RADARSAT-2 satellite will provide C-band radar data at 3 meters.
