UK–Satmap has begun the roll-out of European mapping with the recent launch of 40 maps covering Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Satmap has partnered with a number of map suppliers including Austria, the BEV (Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen) and for Germany the BKG/LVA (Bundesland Karten / Landesvermessungsämter).
Richard Calthrop-Owen, MD of Satmap claims that the company is the first GPS company in the world to offer all these topographical maps to outdoor sports enthusiasts.
Satmap is preparing further maps for Western Europe with releases scheduled for Summer 2009. The European maps announced above are available now from www.satmap.com with prices starting at £34.99 (RRP).
