Nottingham, UK- Nottingham based 3D Laser Mapping has supplied a revolutionary laser mapping system to surveying specialists, APR Services. The VZ-400, part of the Riegl V-Line range, will be used by APR to enhance their existing surveying and scanning capabilities both in the UK and overseas for a variety of archaeological, geological, heritage and architectural projects.
APR Services offers both traditional and high tech solutions for land, building and engineering survey projects as well as offering a scanning bureau service. Working for prestigious organisations such as English Heritage, APR has completed projects with deliverables ranging from raw scan data through to full 3D models and visualisations.
Part of the Riegl V-Line range the VZ-400 utilises unique echo digitisation and online waveform analysis to achieve superior performance and accuracies of measurement, even under adverse weather conditions. Achieving accuracies of 5mm at ranges of up to 500 metres, the VZ-400 can measure up to 125,000 points per second with a 360-degree field of view. The evaluation of multiple targets combined with a reliable, robust and lightweight construction makes the VZ-400 ideally suited to civil engineering, city modelling and architectural projects.
