Quantum Spatial in Sheboygan to lay off 68 employees

< 1 Minute Read

US: State officials have informed media that 68 people at Quantum Spatial in Sheboygan will lose their jobs, effective August 23.

The company, which provides high-tech aerial and terrestrial surveys, reported the plan this week to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. The 68 employees include 15 geospatial technicians, 12 Lidar technicians, 10 imaging/terrain technicians and a smaller number of workers in a range of job titles.

Under state law, companies that employ 50 or more workers in the state may be required to give 60 days’ notice before a mass layoff or closing. Once the state becomes aware of the layoffs or closure, the Dislocated Worker Program's Rapid Response Team reaches out and offers assistance to the affected workers and employer.
