Pakistan: A 15-day short training course on remote sensing and GIS techniques is currently being conducted at Pir Mehr Ali Shah — Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR). The short-term course commenced on 18 March.
The course aims at equipping participants with remote sensing & GIS technologies, which are inevitable for optimal decision-making. The course is being organised by the Department of Geo-Informatics, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology of PMAS-AAUR. According to news reports, thirty participants from various organisations in Pakistan are participating and will learn state of the art remote sensing and GIS techniques in the short course.
