Noida, India: Pitney Bowes Business Insight (PBBI) launched MapInfo Professional v10.5 at Insights India 2010, India’s first user conference held in New Delhi. The conference was, attended by more than 150 delegates across the Indian technology industry.
MapInfo Professional v10.5 provides comprehensive location intelligence capabilities to its customers and facilitates base map creation and editing, visualisation and analysis, and output and sharing in all forms. MapInfo Professional v10.5 also includes integration with Bing Maps and increased support for key industry standards such as the OGC Catalogue Services Web interface, streamlining access to data residing in the cloud and additional publishing features.

At Insights India 2010, PBBI showcased its range of location and communication intelligence solutions for various industries such as for municipalities, telecom operators, spatial data infrastructure, natural resources viz Discover, Exponare, Stratus, Vertical Mapper, MI Manager and Confirm.
Luis Barreiro, Director, New Business Development Region including India, spoke about the country’s importance and the potential business opportunities that it presented. He added, “Our Technology Conclave is an example of our commitment towards the emerging markets, especially India, which is one of the main areas of focus and expansion for Pitney Bowes.
