UK, December 7, 2006 – Ed Parsons, who had played a leading role in Ordnance Survey’s transition from being a mapping to a digital information provider since 2001 as the Chief Technology Officer, announced his departure on December 4 “to pursue new challenges”.
Parsons joined Ordnance Survey five years ago from the private sector. Vanessa Lawrence, Chief Executive, Ordnance Survey said: “We wish Ed every success for the next stage of his career and offer him sincere thanks for his contribution to the direction of our IT development and research activities.”
