Canada: Optech, a Canada-based company dealing in development, manufacturing and support of advanced LiDAR and camera survey instruments, has announced the upcoming release of the Gexcel Open Pit Mine Monitoring System (OPMMS) for the Optech ILRIS Terrestrial Laser Scanner.
ILRIS can be controlled remotely through a Web-based application. This will allow users to completely automate operations and data processing tasks while tracking mine safety hazards, measuring production or managing landslides. Once it is installed and the survey parameters have been defined, the solution will regularly survey the targeted area, analyse the results, and store all data for remote access.
