HUNTSVILLE, Ala., USA – The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services (NDDES) Division of State Radio will deploy Intergraph’s public safety incident management and reporting solutions to automate emergency response operations across the state to facilitate improved communication and interoperability between 287 federal, state, local and tribal agencies.
Intergraph’s integrated public safety technologies, including computer aided dispatch (CAD) and mobile solutions, will enable State Radio personnel to more efficiently manage the nearly 24,000 emergency calls it fields each year and will also allow for seamless integration of additional systems.
State Radio is located in the state capital of Bismarck and serves as the central public safety answering point (PSAP) for 22 of North Dakota’s 53 counties, as well as the backup facility for several other PSAPs within the state. In addition to handling calls for fire and EMS, the division is also responsible for dispatching 150 North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers statewide.
Intergraph’s public safety incident management and reporting solutions will also provide State Radio personnel with access to real-time information and the ability to easily view the status of all dispatched units. In addition, the solutions will allow for secure Web access to critical incident information to boost emergency response.
