US: NOAA has signed a one year contract with SES Government Solutions. This contract allows NOAA to use O3b Networks’ satellite services and ground equipment for faster dissemination of weather and data forecasting. The services will be used by the National Weather Service Office in American Samoa. Apart from providing climate data and weather forecasts, this office also gives critical tropical cyclone warning information to portions of the Pacific.
