< 1 Minute Read

Republic of Sudan: “The Water Authority is planning to introduce a Geographic Information System (GIS) to control water distribution in different parts of Khartoum," said General Manager of the Khartoum Water Authority, Judatallah Osman.

He said so while talking to media about the Nile and underground water stations across Khartoum State. He said that the stations have not been affected by the recent heavy rainfall that hit Khartoum and added that maintenance work on the water networks in Mughran, Tuti, Khartoum North, Haj Yousif and Khujalab lines is underway.

Osman also announced that 26 wells have already been drilled out of the intended 52 as part of a five-year plan launched in 2012.
