The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) announced National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Deputy Director Sue Gordon as an advisor to the USGIF Board of Directors.
Gordon became the sixth NGA deputy director Jan. 1, 2015, after more than 25 years of service with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She previously served as director of the CIA’s Information Operations Center and as the CIA director’s senior advisor on cyber. While at the CIA, Gordon was also responsible for designing and implementing In-Q-Tel, a private, nonprofit company with the primary purpose of delivering innovative technology solutions for the Intelligence Community.
Gordon replaces former NGA Deputy Director Mike Rodrigue as a USGIF board advisor. The previous NGA Deputy Director Lloyd Rowland was also a board advisor. Board advisors serve as non-voting members on the USGIF Board of Directors.
