Canada: Neptec Technologies has launched 3DRi™ Excavator – a suite of 3D real-time intelligence software applications aimed to improve the safety and enhance the productivity for excavators and shovels used in open-pit mining. The application suite includes:
3DRi™ Bench Profiler: It is a safety application, which will provide alerts in real-time to the shovel operator to warn of undercuts.
3DRi™ Bench Mapper: This productivity and safety app will automatically generate user-scheduled DTMs of the bench from the excavator. It eliminates dangerous manual survey work in the pit and improves the productivity of the survey team.
3DRi™ Fragmentation: This productivity app uses a 3D algorithm to determine the exact rock size distribution of the bench. It uses 3D LiDAR data, and doesn’t require a reference scaling object.
