Municipal Software Corporation held its Ontario User Group conference and CityView 8.NET Enterprise (version 8.1) unveiling party in Mississauga, Ontario on June 25, 2002.
The event was a great success with representatives of most of the Companyโs 26 Ontario users attending along with 18 people from jurisdictions considering the purchase of CityView, members of the press and partners. Michael Flynn, Senior Product Manager for Microsoft Canada helped with the unveiling along with Municipalโs Steve Favalaro the Northeast Regional Business Development Manager and David Reid, Sales Manager. Although CityView 8.NET has been discussed at previous user conferences, this was the first exposure for most of the Ontario group. The benefits of CityView 8.NET caused a great deal of excitement. In the afternoon there was a client presentation as well as presentations by ESRI and Pen Systems.
Rob Bennett, President of Municipal Software unveiled version 8.1 and put the companyโs year in perspective, reviewing record revenues, product and company awards and the latest in product development. Attendees, ranging from building inspectors and officials to planning, GIS, public works, information technology and department heads were treated to a demonstration of the latest version of CityView software.
CityView Enterprise software easily converts existing data, business processes and workflow into an integrated departmental or Enterprise solution. With the latest 8.1 version of CityView 8.NET, any of these government business processes such as permitting, reporting, licensing, fees and fines, citizen requests and complaints and more can now be deployed to the Web. CityView 8.NET creates an organic, flexible, customizable and scaleable E-government solution โ with no HTML or SQL coding! CityView 8.NET Enterprise also enables the use and deployment of forms to cell phones and other portable devices. CityView 8.NET can recognize the type of device accessing it and serve out the appropriate version of the form for it.
The North American CityView User Group Conference will be held in Denver, Colorado from November 13-15, 2002.
